Rooted in Los Angeles’ historic legacy of union advocacy, the Labor Summer fellowship hosted at the UCLA Labor Center trains the city’s next generation of worker justice leaders. Through an eight-week paid placement at a Los Angeles labor union or worker center, UCLA Labor Summer fellows receive frontline training as organizers for economic justice campaigns, with an emphasis on exploring how race, class, gender, and immigration intersect with the labor rights movement.
