About Us

For more than 60 years, the UCLA Labor Center has advanced quality employment and education for all.

With a history of fostering innovative collaborations between students, faculty, workers and community partners anchored in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, our approach to research justice, leadership development and narrative change promotes worker justice, racial and economic equity, global labor solidarity and immigrant rights. Support from an engaged network of individuals enables our work towards social justice. Individual support through annual, major, and planned gifts is an investment in the future of the UCLA Labor Center, with the goal of creating a more vibrant and just future for workers and communities of color.

Government and Industry Collaborators

Through our diverse networks of industry and educational partners, and city, state and federal leaders, our students and faculty have access to meaningful and transformational experiences that result in better practices in the workplace, stronger grassroots leadership from voices that have typically been marginalized, and a greater understanding of how to promote social justice in the real world. We are always looking to strengthen and expand our partnership with labor and community leaders in the field.

Foundation, Corporate and Private Partners
Foundation, Corporate and Private Partners

Support from foundations, corporations, unions, and private organizations enables the UCLA Labor Center to do more and expand our reach. With dedication and imagination, the UCLA Labor Center continues to impact our community through research for justice, equity-based policy work, and empowering community leaders. Our partners in these areas work with us to build a more just, diverse, and equitable society. We seek new partners while delivering on our commitments to our current partners.
