Dulce María López

Dulce María López received her undergrad in Media Studies and Practice of Art minor at UC Berkeley and is currently in the UCLA Latin American M.A. program. As a Graduate Student Researcher for the Global Solidarity program at the UCLA Labor Center, she supports the building and communications for labor movements across borders.

As an artivist and immigrant who grew up in the fields of Tolimán, Jalisco, she is interested in culture-shaping initiatives and their impact on social, environmental, and economic justice in rural communities to address forced migration. Dulce has experience in community-engaged projects throughout Northern and Central America. Dulce plans to continue expanding on her political art strategies and enrich collaborations with transnational organizations that support and preserve rural and immigration-impacted areas.
