Elda Solomon

Elda Solomon is a Senior Research Analyst at the UCLA Labor Center. She completed her Master of Arts at UCLA in the Department of African American Studies. As a graduate student researcher working the Labor Center’s CARE at Work Project, Elda coauthored a number of reports focusing on Black workers and their disparate experiences in the workplace, through the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. As a staff researcher, she will be working on a number of projects related to low wage work and worker populations who are underserved and vulnerable in the workforce. Previously, she worked with the Los Angeles Black Worker Center and Southern California Black Worker Hub in policy advocacy, championing Black workers’ representation in the infrastructure and construction industries as well as tackling the disproportionate discrimination that Black workers face in the workplace.
