Nestor Ramirez

Nestor Ramirez is a Senior Research Analyst at the UCLA Labor Center who supports High Road Training Partnerships with evaluation support and technical assistance. Nestor has over seven years of experience conducting mixed methods evaluations with community-based organizations working with veterans, low-income students of color, and workers with barriers to employment.

Before his time at the Labor Center, Nestor was leading the development of an evaluation framework for the Worker Education & Resource Center. The work involved identifying and standardizing metrics and processes for the Preparing Los Angeles for County Employment Program (a High Road Training Partnership Program), and a Harm Reduction Program Funded by the Department of Health Services. Nestor also worked for the Education Fund of the Cesar Chavez Foundation, where he implemented evaluation processes for the continual improvement of K-8th grade reading, math, social justice, and STEM programs, as well as identified metrics and created dashboards for these programs. Nestor holds a Master’s in Psychology from Claremont Graduate University and a B.A. in Psychology from Cal Poly Pomona.
