On Wednesday, May 30th at 9:30 a.m. Pacific, the UCLA Labor Center will hold a media teleconference to discuss its new report, More Than a Gig: A Survey of Ride-hailing Drivers in Los Angeles. Based on 260 surveys and 8 in-depth interviews with drivers working for transportation networking companies, this report is the first comprehensive study conducted in Los Angeles that captures the daily realities of ride-hailing drivers, while dispelling popular notions of working in the gig economy.
