Andrea Slater serves as the Director of the Center for the Advancement of Racial Equity (CARE) at Work with the UCLA Labor Center. Her background includes applied policy research and extensive time in the political arena as a political consultant. She has been a community advocate and coalition builder in California for over 25 years with a focus on issues related to inequity, increasing, and voter engagement.
