Elda Solomon

Elda Solomon is a Senior Research Analyst at the UCLA Labor Center. As a senior researcher with ReWork Research, she works on a number of projects related to low wage work and worker populations who are underserved and vulnerable in the workforce. As a researcher working the Labor Center’s CARE at Work Project, Elda coauthored a number of reports focusing on Black workers and their disparate experiences in the workplace, through the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Prior to her role, Elda worked in policy advocacy, championing Black workers’ representation in the workforce as well as tackling the disproportionate discrimination that Black workers face. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Nevada and Master of Arts at UCLA in the Department of African American Studies.
