Tia Koonse

Tia Koonse is the Legal and Policy Research Director at the UCLA Labor Center. She supports the UCLA Labor Center’s ReWork research team. She has 15+ years of legal and policy research in employment protections in low-wage industries as well as anti-discrimination and anti-retaliation regimes. Tia provides data, policy analysis, and budget recommendations to a wide range of nonprofits, government agencies, and legislative bodies to improve working conditions across the state.
